Home Support Services That Keep Routines Moving
Companion Care is delivered through Home Support Services that help maintain environmental safety and household function. Support can include light housekeeping, laundry, fridge and cupboard organization, meal preparation and planning, grocery shopping, mail sorting, pet care, light yard work, and incidental transportation. Care can also include accompaniment to medical appointments for added support during the day.

Short Visits When You Only Need Targeted Help
Not every situation requires long minimum shifts. Love From The Heart Homecare Inc. offers 1-hour service visits as an option, with a neighborhood team-up condition when three clients or three total service hours can be consolidated within the same building, street, or immediate neighborhood. Office hours are Mon–Sun, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, and care services are available 24/7 across Ontario.
What Companion Care Includes
Companion Care is flexible and adapts to the lifestyle of each family. For some, it’s heavier help with housekeeping. For others, it’s social outings and safety supervision. Here are practical ways we support independence.
Household Management & Light Cleaning. We are not a commercial cleaning crew, but we strive to maintain a clean and hygienic living environment. We handle tasks that can increase fall risk or cause strain, like vacuuming main living areas, sweeping and mopping, wiping kitchen counters, and sanitizing bathrooms. We help with laundry from start to finish—washing, drying, folding, and putting items away where they’re easy to reach. We can also water plants and help organize cluttered closets.
Meal Preparation & Nutrition. Tea and toast isn’t a meal plan. We help ensure clients are eating a balanced diet by supporting menus, grocery lists, and meal preparation at home. For clients who struggle with appetite, the smell of home cooking and the presence of someone at the table can make eating feel enjoyable again. We also monitor basic food safety and clear expired items when needed.
Errands & Accompaniment. The world shouldn’t shrink because someone stops driving. We can accompany clients on walks for fresh air and movement, escort them to appointments, church services, or the hair salon, and provide door-to-door support. We can also run errands on behalf of the client, such as picking up prescriptions or grabbing essentials.
Kitchen:
Dishwashing, appliance wipe-downs, checking expiry dates.
Living Areas:
Dusting, vacuuming, and decluttering walkways.
Comfort:
Changing bed linens, fluffing pillows, adjusting room temperature.
Pet Care:
Feeding cats or dogs, letting them into the yard (light pet support).
